It’s time for Grampy’s annual lengthy holiday sojourn, which means first-rate Shakespearean actorly delivery on all children’s books. Fun for the kids, nerve-wracking for the parents, since we have to follow this act.
Above, he reads Mama’s favorite childhood book to Mama’s favorite son.
Can you tell me where you got that Peanut shirt??? We called our little guy peanut the entire time in utero and I would love to get that Peanut shirt!!!
Thanks!
A friend was in R.E.I. and stopped short, since she saw both this one and another with “Monkey” on it (our girlie’s nickname). And here I thought we were the only ones on the continent with these diminutives.
She promptly bought both.

Oh so cute!
What a darling picture.
And thank you for your writing of the newer post (from 12/04). It’s something I needed to read, as I’ve really been struggling with humanity since the Prop 8 vote.
I wish I had something as insightful to add to your own writing, but you said it all so well.
Ah. “Struggling with humanity.” That would be it.
May we all lend one another all we need to continue to see the things that connect us much more vividly than we do the things that divide us.
